Confederate Memorial Park to honor Lt. Col. James Harvey Allen of the 5th Virginia Cavalry

"Peach Park James City County Virginia"
I was in the Lanexa area of James City County Virginia over the Christmas Holdidays, and made a trip in the new fallen snow to visit Peach Park. This is a little section of a large field set aside as a Confederate Memorial Park to honor Lt. Col. James Harvey Allen of the 5th Virginia Cavalry (James City Cavalry) who is buried in that spot. The red white and blue of the 1st National looked sharp against the white backdrop. For more information on the park, please check out this website www.jamescitycavalry.org , or if in the vicinity, swing by and write your name in the guest book and take a pamphlet from the mailbox
